Mike Burke

Mike has over fifteen years of fundamental investing experience, having invested professionally at several multi-billion-dollar investment managers, on behalf of large institutions, pensions, endowments and high-net-worth individuals.

Throughout his career, Mike has invested in companies that require a deep understanding of fundamentals and operational complexities, which positions him well to identify opportunities and drive value in the lower middle market.

For the past four years, Mike has been CEO of Excelus Manufacturing Solutions (Sky Peak’s first platform) managing all aspects of operations, business development, finance and M&A.

Prior to founding Sky Peak & Excelus, Mike was at HBK Capital, an $8B multi-strategy investment manager where he focused on investments across the capital structure. Prior to HBK, Mike was at DDJ Capital, a fundamental, credit-focused asset manager with $8B of AUM. Before DDJ, Mike was in the Financial Sponsors and Leveraged Finance Investment Banking group at UBS.

Mike graduated magna cum laude from Boston University’s School of Management and currently lives in New Hampshire with his wife and daughters.

When not working, Mike enjoys spending time with his family and getting outdoors as much as possible.
